We have been in Melbourne since May 2006 and thank God for calling us to such a lovely town in a beautiful part of the country.

Melbourne URC is a very busy church which seeks to serve the community in all kinds of ways.  At the November Church meeting I spoke about the two dimensional aspect of Church Life.  The horizontal aspect makes connections with people and is about fellowship and outreach.  The vertical aspect is about our connections with God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  In my role as minister I hope to be able to strengthen people’s connection with God, thus equipping their spiritual life.

It is my hope and prayer that people who come to the social functions of the church may feel drawn towards the spiritual life of the church too.  This is not confined to Sunday Services because there are opportunities for prayer, bible study and worship in small groups during the week.
